Last updated: February 2026
At Manor Holding Cottage, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
We collect personal information through our website via three main methods:
A. Booking Platform
When you make an online booking, your payment is processed securely by Stripe. Manor Holding does not collect, process, or store any credit card or payment information on our servers.
For bookings made via phone or email, payment is handled via bank transfer. We only collect the minimal information necessary to identify the payment (such as the sender's name) and to facilitate your reservation.
Purpose: This information is used strictly to process your reservation, manage your stay, and contact you directly regarding your booking.
B. Express Interest
When you submit an expression of interest for a stay, we collect your contact details. Purpose: We use these details to contact you with tailored quotes and to follow up in order to facilitate a booking.
C. Contact Form
When you use our general contact form, we collect your name and email address.
Purpose: This information is used to respond to your specific query.
Optional Marketing: The Contact Form includes an optional checkbox for you to
grant permission for your contact details to be used for advertisements, news, and special
offers from Manor Holding. You will only receive these communications if you explicitly opt-in.
2. No Third-Party Sharing
We respect your privacy. Your personal details are never provided, sold, or rented to third parties. All marketing communications, if opted into, come directly from Manor Holding.
3. Data Security and Storage
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, accidental loss, disclosure, or destruction. We only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
4. Your GDPR Rights
Under the GDPR, you have several rights regarding your personal data, including the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Request deletion of your personal data where there is no longer a good reason for us to continue processing it.
- Withdraw Consent: For any processing based on consent (such as our marketing emails), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
